Finding a Work-Around for iMessage Issues
iMessage is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, and iPhone/iPad users get a nice, seamless integration across all their Apple products. With so many iPhone users using Microsoft Windows 10 PCs, we thought that there must be a way to send and receive iMessages in Windows 10. There are, but it comes with a lot of risks.
Before we get started we should say that there are actually multiple ways for this to get done, but it isn’t supported by Apple or Microsoft. It involves third-party software has to be downloaded and used to make this work, or voiding the warranty on your device. These methods can become huge security problems for a business, and are NOT advised.
We’re going to discuss the workarounds you might find online, but we HIGHLY recommend not attempting these:
Don’t Use iPadian to Get iMessage on Windows 10
The third-party app, called iPadian, is software that is available through the app store. It allows you to sort of emulate the iPad’s iOS environment. It’s a huge cybersecurity threat, and the software often gets flagged for malware. We suggest you avoid this solution like the plague.
Don’t Jailbreak Your iPhone to Get iMessage on Your PC
When you jailbreak a device you essentially break your device free from the restrictions it has about downloading and running apps not supported by the Apple App Store. This immediately voids any warranty the phone has, and can have effects on its ability to stay secure, so please keep in mind you are doing this at your own risk. Our strong recommendation is do NOT jailbreak your iPhone (or any device).
Unfortunately for iOS and macOS users, there isn’t any safe way to get direct messages on Windows 10 PC without putting your devices in some kind of risk. We explored a few other solutions as well, but at the end of the day, in order to protect your personal information, as well as your business, you will need to hold off.
